Profile: Barb Jursic

I was born in Windsor and raised in London, Ontario, a city I love. I wasn’t able to acquire a formal art education but I’ve always had a love for art

I’ve been retired for 11 years and that has allowed me many more hours to pursue this craft – in particular watercolours. I began to paint in 1994 and I’ve taken many classes to try to improve. I enjoy painting architecture and have painted several portraits of houses for clients. I’ve also been successful in painting landscapes and flowers.

I’ve been a member of the Lambeth Art Association as well as a member of the Brush & Palette Club for several years. I’ve displayed and sold my work in shows presented by both groups and in other venues.

Science Art-Nature

"Bringing Symposia to Life" an independent Science Art virtual exhibit whose selection of images was inspired by the 2011 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Washington, DC, (February 17-21). This virtual exhibit will serve an example of how Science Art can expand the interest in and under- standing of science discussed at science meeting and conferences.
